This elegant English covered tureen was crafted in Hanley, Staffordshire by Dudson, Wilcox & Till between 1885 and 1898. The Carnation pattern, printed in soft blue-green tones, captures the timeless grace of Victorian floral design. Each detail — from the scalloped lid to the gently curved handles — speaks of the careful artistry that defined this golden age of English pottery.

Measuring about 12 inches wide (with handles) and 8–10 inches tall, it remains sturdy and full of charm. There are a few small chips and the natural crazing you’d expect from a well-loved antique, but nothing that takes away from its beauty — in fact, it adds to the authenticity that collectors adore.

I’ve loved this piece for its history and quiet elegance, but as I simplify my life, I’m ready to let it find a new home where it will be appreciated and displayed once again. Whether it becomes the centerpiece of your dining table or graces a vintage hutch, this tureen will bring a touch of English heritage and warmth to any space.
